I got a summons!

Backstory: While I was working at the non-profit I was out delivering court reports when some man turned left and hit me. I was going about 20 so the damage was minimal. He was a jerk about the whole ordeal and kept threatening to sue me. I was like dude you caused the accident. Meanwhile, his wife is moaning in pain and refusing to get out of the car while he screams that her back is broken. But she made sure to have a word with the officer before she got strapped down and hauled away in the ambulance. His insurance replaced the front bumper on my Yukon and it was over, so I thought. This morning my sister called to inform me that the Marshal's office served a summons to my parent's address. The jerkwad is fighting his ticket that he got as a result of the accident so I have to show up at City Court and testify. Bleh. I have to be in Family Court that week for my case and I wish they were on the same day because City Court would have to do without me. I don't know how they run things, but I'm pretty sure I'll be sitting there all day for nothing because jerkwad may or may not show up.
