Thank You

The BFF posed a question that utterly confuses me. What do you do with a guy that says thank you after sex? The backstory is: she met this guy and he came over the other night to watch movies and one thing led to another and after they were done and going to sleep he says "thank you". Just out of the blue. Then she gets a text today saying "thank you again for the other night". WTH?
